Senior Full-Stack Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our fast-growing team. This role is pivotal in building the next generation of tools for residential construction. As an early team member, you’ll work closely with the co-founders to shape the product, define technical direction, and build scalable solutions to meet the needs of our growing customer base.

Scaffold is building the data orchestration layer for residential construction. We integrate fragmented systems across builders, subcontractors, and suppliers to automate workflows, eliminate manual work, and unlock real-time decision-making.

We are now embedding AI deeply into this system — transforming raw, messy construction data into intelligent automation, predictive insights, and agent-driven workflows.

‍What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with co-founders and stakeholders to architect and implement features across the stack.
• Develop and maintain back-end systems with a strong focus on Python.
• Apply the latest advances in AI to revolutionize residential construction workflows.
• Contribute to front-end development, with experience in JavaScript being a major plus.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of Scaffold’s platform.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers as the team grows.
• Build integrations with third-party services and APIs to expand product capabilities.
• Help define and improve engineering processes and culture in a high-growth startup environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on back-end systems.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Python is required. Expertise in applying or developing AI/ML solutions with Python is especially relevant. Proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) is desirable but not essential.
